Refund Policy

This version replaces all previous versions of the Lightwave Refund Policy.
We want you to love Lightwave. If you don’t, we’ll happily give your money back - no tricks, no hard feelings.
1. Personal Pro (monthly or annual)
- 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked
- Applies only to your very first payment
- Request within 30 days → full refund to your original payment method
2. Personal Lifetime ($179 one-time)
- 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked
- Request within 30 days → full refund
- After 30 days there are no refunds (it really is lifetime access)
3. Team plans (monthly or annual)
- 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked
- Request within 30 days from the very first Team payment → full refund for all team members to your original payment method
- After 30 days of the first payment, no refunds on annual Team plans
4. Key rules (same for every plan)
- The refund clock starts only on the very first payment for that workspace/billing account
- Upgrading, adding seats, or switching plans never restarts the window
- Refunds are issued through Paddle to your original payment method (usually 5–10 business days)
- No refunds if your account was suspended/terminated for violating our Terms (abuse, spam, illegal content, etc.)
5. How to request a refund
- Log in to your Lightwave account
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Click "Request Refund"
- Confirm your request
That's it. No emails, no waiting, no hoops. Your refund is processed automatically and usually arrives within 5–10 business days.
If you're within the 30-day window, the button will be there. If not, it won't — simple as that.
6. What happens after we issue your refund
You keep everything. A refund only stops billing - it never takes away your data or access.
- Future billing is canceled immediately
- You keep full read/write access for the longer of:
– the rest of your original paid period, or
– 30 days after the refund is processed - After that grace period ends, your workspace automatically switches to permanent read-only mode
- In read-only mode you can still view, search, and export everything forever
- This includes all notes, attachments, images, version history, and full export capability exactly the same as an active paid account, just no new edits.
- We will never delete your data just because you got a refund
- But, of course, you may manually delete the workspace at any time if you want all your data completely removed from our platform
You always own your notes and files. Even if you refund today and come back years later, everything will still be waiting for you.
